- 2/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. dark corn syrup
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. pecan halves
- 1/2 recipe plain pastry
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.

2Add next 4 ingredients.

3Line pie pan with pastry and sprinkle with pecans. Bake in very hot oven (450°) 10 minutes; reduce temperature to moderate (350°) and bake 35 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
