- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. dark corn syrup (Karo)
- 3 eggs
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. pecan meats, chopped
Directions

1Cook sugar and syrup until mixture thickens (cook just a little more than soft ball stage on a candy thermometer).

2Beat eggs without separating and slowly add eggs to hot syrup, beating constantly.

3Add butter, vanilla and nuts.

4Pour into unbaked pie shell; bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

5Reduce heat to 300° and bake for 35 minutes.
