- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup, margarine and salt.

2Bring to boil over low heat.

3Pour mixture over beaten eggs (slowly), stirring constantly.

4Allow to cool and add vanilla and pecans.

5Pour into pie shell.

6Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.

7Reduce heat to 375° and cook for 35 to 40 minutes.

8Do not preheat oven!
