- 1 (9-inch) pie shell, partially baked
- 1/3 c. butter, melted
- 2/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1 1/4 c. broken pecans
- 1 Tbsp. rum
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Bake the empty pie shell 8 minutes. Allow it to cool.

3Reduce oven to 375°.

4In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar.

5Beat in the eggs, one at a time until smooth.

6Stir in corn syrup, pecans, rum and salt; blend thoroughly.

7Pour mixture in pie shell.

8Bake 40 to 45 minutes.
