  • 28 light caramels
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 pie shell

Directions

    Heat caramels in double boiler until sauce is smooth.

    Mix beaten eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla together and add to caramel sauce.

    Add pecans.

    Put in unbaked pie shell and bake at 400° for 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 20 minutes.
