  • 1 c. maple Karo syrup
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 to 8 eggs
  • 1 (9-inch) pie shell (unbaked)
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 stick butter, melted

Directions

    Mix sugar and syrup.

    Pour over well beaten eggs.

    Add vanilla and butter.

    Mix well.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell.

    Put nuts on top.

    Bake at 400° for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 350° and bake 30 more minutes.
