  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. broken pecan nuts

Directions

    Cook sugar and syrup until mixture thickens.

    Beat eggs. Slowly add hot mixture to eggs, beating constantly.

    Add butter, vanilla and nuts.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell.

    Bake in hot oven 10 minutes at 400°.

    Reduce heat to 300° and bake 30 minutes. Cool and serve with or without whipped cream.
