- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 3 eggs
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. broken pecan nuts
Directions

1Cook sugar and syrup until mixture thickens.

2Beat eggs. Slowly add hot mixture to eggs, beating constantly.

3Add butter, vanilla and nuts.

4Pour into unbaked pie shell.

5Bake in hot oven 10 minutes at 400°.

6Reduce heat to 300° and bake 30 minutes. Cool and serve with or without whipped cream.
