  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. dark Karo syrup
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 to 1 1/2 c. pecans, coarsely broken
  • 1 unbaked pie crust

Directions

    Boil sugar and syrup about 2 minutes.

    Pour slowly over beaten eggs, stirring vigorously.

    Add margarine, vanilla and nuts.

    Pour into unbaked crust.

    Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.

    Reduce temperature to 350° and bake for 40 minutes.
