  • 2 orange pekoe tea bags, Twinings preferred
  • 8 bay leaves
  • 8 whole green cardamom pods, crushed gently until just cracked
  • 1 stick cinnamon, 3 to 4 inches long, cut or broken in half lengthwise
  • 2 cups boiling water
