- 8 inch pie shell, unbaked
- 1 c. pecan halves
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. melted butter
Directions

1Make pastry shell with fluted edge.

2Spread nuts over bottom of shell.

3Beat eggs; add sugar, syrup, salt, vanilla and butter. Pour filling over pecans.

4Bake 10 minutes in very hot oven at 450°.

5Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 35 minutes longer.
