  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 c. dark Karo syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped

Directions

    Beat eggs well and mix with other ingredients except pecans. Pour into 9-inch unbaked pie shell to which nuts have been added. Bake in 350° oven until the custard has set, about 40 minutes or when it begins to crack.
