  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. light corn syrup

    Add sugar and syrup, then salt and vanilla.

    Place the pecans in

    the bottom of unbaked pie crust.

    Add the filling. Bake slowly in a moderate oven (350°) for 50 to 60 minutes.

    The nuts will rise to the top of the pie filling and form a crusted layer.
