Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. sugar (mostly I use 1/2 white and 1/2 light brown)
  • 1 c. Karo syrup (I use Karo's dark corn syrup)
  • pinch of salt
  • 5 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecans (I prefer to break the halves)

Directions

    Add melted butter into sugar and cream with a wooden beater. Add Karo syrup and beat in good with butter-sugar mix.

    Add salt and 3 eggs (one at a time), stirring well.

    Add 1/4 cup milk. Stir and then add 1 teaspoon vanilla; stir and add pecans.
