  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. syrup (white Karo)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening or oleo
  • 3 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Beat eggs. Add sugar, flour, syrup, butter, salt and vanilla. Add pecans and mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 325° for about 45 minutes. The nuts will float to the top to form a firm crust that will brown nicely if baked slowly.
