  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 6 Tbsp. melted butter
  • pecan halves
  • 2 unbaked 9-inch pie shells
