- 1 pie shell
- 1/2 c. pecan halves
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. dark syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine chopped pecans, butter, vanilla, sugar, eggs and syrup.

2Pour into pie shell; bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

3Arrange pecan halves on top of pie filling.

4Reduce heat; bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

5Bake slowly.
