  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. corn meal
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. pecans

    Line a 9-inch pan with pastry 1/8 inch thick.

    Combine ingredients, adding pecans last.

    Pour into pastry shell.

    Bake in hot oven (400°) for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 300° and bake for 30 to 35 minutes longer or until a silver knife inserted in center of filling comes out clear.
