  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 c. mix)
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs

Directions

    Mix first 3 ingredients together and press into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

    Beat together 2/3 cup reserved cake mix, brown sugar, white Karo syrup, vanilla and eggs. Pour over baked cake.

    Sprinkle with pecans.

    Return to 350° oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
