- 1 c. shortening
- 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.

2Blend in flour and vanilla.

3Add pecans and mix.

4If mixture is too stiff, add a tablespoon of water.

5Shape into 3/4 to 1-inch balls.

6Place on cookie sheet.

7Bake 10 minutes or until light brown at 350°.

8Cool 5 minutes.

9Roll in additional powdered sugar while still warm.
