  • 2 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 4 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • additional powdered sugar

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar. Add water and vanilla; mix well. Gradually add flour. Fold in pecans. Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten with fingers. Bake at 300° for 20 to 25 minutes. (I had to bake for 30 minutes.) Cool on wire rack. When cool, dust with powdered sugar.
