Pecan Shortbread

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pecan pieces
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar in a standing mixer.

2Slowly add flour, then salt.

3Fold in pecan pieces.

4Roll dough into ball shape, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

5On floured surface, roll dough out to 1/4-inch thickness.

6Cut into desired shapes (squares and triangles are my favorite, but a round cookie cutter can be used).

7Transfer cut out dough to ungreased cookie sheet.

8Prick with fork and chill again for 20 minutes.

9Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

10Bake 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
