Pecan Surprise Bar

Directions

   Reserve 2/3 cup cake mix.

   Combine remaining cake mix with oleo and 1 egg.

   Mix until crumbly.

   Press into well-greased 11 x 9-inch pan.

   Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

   Combine reserved 2/3 cake mix with remaining 3 eggs, brown sugar, syrup and vanilla.

   Beat at medium speed 1 to 2 minutes.

   Pour over baked crust.

   Sprinkle with pecans.

    Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until filling is set.

    Cool and cut into bars.
