Ingredients
- 1 (3 oz.) cream cheese
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. softened butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
- 2/3 c. pecans, chopped
Directions

1Let cream cheese and butter soften to room temperature.

2Blend together with flour.

3Chill one hour.

4Shape into 2 dozen 1-inch balls.

5Press into ungreased tiny muffin tins.

6Mix egg, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, vanilla and salt.

7Put half the pecans in each tin, add egg mixture and top with remaining pecans.

8Bake at 325° for 25 minutes.

9Cool before removing from pans.
-
10Makes 24 tassies.
