  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. butter/oleo
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1 Tbsp. soft butter or oleo
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 2/3 c. or more coarsely broken pecans

    Cheese Pastry:

    Let cream cheese and 1/2 cup oleo soften to room temperature.

    Blend together.

    Stir in flour and chill about 1 hour.

    Shape in 2 dozen 1-inch balls.

    Place in ungreased muffin pans.

    Press dough against bottom and sides.
