Pecan Turtles

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. pecan halves
  • 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels, unwrapped
  • 1 (9 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Directions

    On a cookie sheet, arrange 5 pecan halves to resemble turtle's 4 feet and head.

    Place 1 caramel in center of each turtle. Continue until there are no spare parts.

    Place cookie sheet in preheated 325° oven until caramels have softened, approximately 5 minutes.

    Remove from oven with a buttered spatula or prebuttered fingers.

    Place a chocolate kiss on each turtle.

    (Chocolate will soften from heat of caramels.)

    With a buttered spatula, gently swirl chocolate to cover caramel.

    Transfer to waxed paper to cool.
