  • 2 egg whites (plus)
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water (plus)
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar (plus)
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon (plus)
  • 2 tsp. salt (plus)
  • 3 lb. pecans

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 275°.

    Spray a cookie sheet with a light coating of vegetable cooking spray and set aside.

    Beat the egg whites with the water until frothy, but not stiff.
  4. 4
    In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon and salt.
  5. 5
    Dip pecans in the egg whites, then in the sugar and cinnamon mixture and again in the egg whites.

    Spread the nuts in one layer on the cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour (turn every 10 minutes in the last half hour of baking time).
