  • 12 oz. flour
  • 4 oz. sugar
  • 8 oz. butter
  • caster sugar for sprinkling

Directions

    Sieve the flour and add the sugar.

    Rub in the butter and then work the mixture into a ball with a knife.

    Butter a baking tray and spread in the mixture.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 25 minutes or until browned.

    Remove from oven and cut into squares.

    Sprinkle with caster sugar.
