  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix sugar and milk, then add Crisco, vanilla, salt and nuts. Boil to soft ball stage (238°).

    Cool without stirring.

    When lukewarm, beat until creamy.

    Pour into greased pan.

    When cold, cut into squares.
