- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 1/3 c. to 2 c. confectioners sugar
Directions

1Melt butter or margarine and brown sugar in a saucepan.

2Boil over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

3Stir in milk and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

4Cool to lukewarm. Gradually add confectioners sugar, beating until thick enough to spread.

5If icing becomes too thick to spread, add a little milk or hot water.
