- 5 c. boiling water
- 5 beef bouillon cubes
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. corn syrup
- 2 lb. boneless chuck roast, cut into strips
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 green bell peppers, cut into strips
- hot cooked rice
Directions

1Combine water and bouillon cubes, stirring until cubes are dissolved.

2Combine cornstarch with small amount of bouillon mixture, blending to a smooth paste.

3Stir into remaining bouillon mixture.

4Add corn syrup, meat, soy sauce and seasonings.

5Cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes.

6Add green peppers to meat mixture and cook an additional 30 minutes.

7Serve over rice.

8Makes 8 to 10 servings.
