- 1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak
- 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 can French onion soup
- 1 can consomme
- 1 large green pepper, diced
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tomatoes
- 3 to 4 c. hot rice
Directions

1Cut steak into thin strips.

2Season with garlic salt and brown in oil.

3Stir in onion soup, consomme and soy sauce.

4Cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

5Add green pepper; cover and simmer for another 5 minutes.

6Mix cornstarch and water together to form a thickening.

7Add cornstarch thickening to meat; stir.

8Add tomatoes, if desired.

9Cover and boil for 1 minute.

10Serve over hot rice.
