  • 1 1/4 lb. round steak, cut in serving pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, halved
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 green pepper, cut in rings
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 c. water

Directions

    Brown meat in oil; add onion, garlic and seasonings.

    Dissolve bouillon cube in water; add to meat.

    Simmer until meat is tender. Add tomatoes and green pepper.

    Simmer 30 minutes.

    Thicken with cornstarch mix.

    Serve over hot noodles.
