- 1 lb. ground steak, cut in strips
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 medium onions, cut in strips lengthwise
- 2 bell peppers, cut in strips
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- fluffy rice
Directions

1Brown steak in shortening about 10 minutes or until tender. Add soy sauce and water.

2Simmer for 10 minutes.

3Add onions. Simmer for 5 minutes.

4Add bell peppers; cook until tender. Thicken with cornstarch.

5Serve over steamed rice.

6If desired, fresh mushrooms or bean sprouts may be added.
