Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. thin steak (pepper steak)
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 (13 oz.) can beef broth
  • 1 green pepper, seeded and sliced
  • 1 small can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. wine (optional)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 c. cooked white rice

Directions

    Over medium heat in a large frypan, put oil and steak and cook steak on both sides.

    Add remaining ingredients, except rice. Simmer 20 to 30 minutes until pepper is tender.

    If it dries out, add a little more beef broth.

    Serve over rice.
