  • 1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can beef broth
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 medium green peppers, cut in strips
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and cut in wedges
  • hot cooked rice

    Slice meat across the grain into 2-inch strips.

    Brown steak in oil in a skillet over medium-high heat 4 to 6 minutes.

    Add beef broth and next 4 ingredients.

    Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.

    Combine cornstarch, sugar and soy sauce, stirring well.

    Add to beef mixture.

    Bring to a boil; boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat. Add tomato wedges; toss gently.
