  • 3 lb. favorite steak, cut into strips
  • 2 large onions, cut into rings
  • 2 large bell peppers, cut into strips
  • 1 large can tomato juice or 1 can stewed tomatoes (if desired)
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 4 c. cooked rice and season to taste
  • 4 Tbsp. cooking oil

    Cut and season steak.

    Roll in flour.

    Heat oil in large skillet and brown steak strips on all sides.

    Add onions, peppers and 1 cup water.

    Simmer 10 minutes stirring occasionally.

    Add tomato juice, tomatoes and sugar.

    Simmer 30 minutes, covered. Serve over bed of rice.
