  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut into thin strips
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 medium onions, sliced thin
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoning salt
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 tomatoes in 1/8-inch slices
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Brown meat on all sides in butter.

    Add onions, seasoning and water.

    Cover and cook slowly for about 1 hour.

    Add green pepper, tomatoes and cornstarch, blended with 2 tablespoons water.

    Cook until thick.

    Serve on rice.
