Ingredients
- 4 c. flour, lightly spooned in cup
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 scant c. Crisco (I prefer butter-flavor) or, 1 3/4 c. lard.
- 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 c. cold water
Directions

1Put first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.

2Mix well with pastry blender, fork or mixer.

3Mix until mixture is like small peas.

4In small bowl, beat together vinegar, egg & water.

5Combine with the flour mixture until it is blended well.

6Divide into 5 portions and shape into flat patties.

7Wrap well in plastic or foil. Refrigerate or freeze.

8Will keep in refrigerator a week or months in freezer.
