Perfect Rice Every Time (Microwave)

- 3 cups long grain rice
- 6 cups water
- 2 tablespoons butter (optional)
Directions

1Place three cups uncooked rice in a large microwave safe bowl.

2Using cold water, rinse the rice until the water runs clear.

3I use a small spoon to swirl the rice in the water.

4Once the water is clear, drain the rice.

5Add 6 cups fresh water to the rice, and the butter if using.

6Add any additional seasonings of your choice.

7Microwave uncovered full power(100%) for 15 minutes.

8Do not remove bowl from oven.

9Microwave uncovered at 50% power an additional 20 minutes.

10Remove bowl from oven.

11Cover and let stand an additional 5 minutes.

12Fluff with a fork.
