Ingredients

  • 6 family sz tea bags OR 12 regular sz tea bags
  • 5 cup boiling hot water
  • 2 cup sugar. This will be sweet. Some prefer only 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda. **This is the secret to smoothness! No bitter tea flavor**
  • 7 cup cold water
  • 1 cup cold water, set aside. this will be used only if the tea is too sweet for your taste

    Boil the 5cups of water in a medium sz pot or tea pot.

    Turn off heat, once boiling, add baking soda & tea bags.

    Steep 20min

    Remove tea bags & add sugar, stirring constantly to dissolve.

    In a gallon sz pitcher, add the 8cups cold water.

    Slowly pour in tea mixture, stirring well

    Sip & enjoy!
