- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 c. flour
Directions

1Begin yeast in warm water.

2Combine milk, sugar, salt and shortening.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Stir in 2 cups flour.

5Beat well. Add yeast mix.

6Slowly add remaining flour while mixing.

7Knead 8 to 10 minutes.

8Shape in a ball.

9Place in lightly buttered bowl; turn and cover.

10Let rise 1 1/2 hours; punch.

11Let rise again for 45 minutes.
