- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. persimmon pulp, mixed with 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 c. dates and raisins
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cream sugar and shortening.

3Add egg. In a second bowl, combine dry ingredients.

4Add 1 teaspoon baking soda to 1 cup persimmon pulp in 3rd bowl.

5Combine all ingredients in 3 bowls.

6Add walnuts, dates and raisins.

7Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheets.

8Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.
