- 1 qt. chopped cabbage
- 1 qt. chopped green tomatoes
- 2 sweet red peppers
- 2 sweet green peppers
- 2 large onions
- 1/4 c. salt
- 1 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. celery seed
Directions

1Chop the cabbage, tomatoes, red and green peppers and onions. Mix with the salt; let stand overnight.

2Next morning, drain and press in cloth to remove all liquid possible.

3Boil vinegar, water, sugar and spices for 5 minutes.

4Add the chopped vegetable mixture; bring to a boil.

5Pour into sterilized jars.

6Seal.
