  • 3 (No. 303) cans sliced beets or 6 c. cooked beets
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 24 whole cloves
  • 3 Tbsp. catsup
  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. beet juice
  • dash of salt

Directions

    Mix all ingredients in saucepan, including beets.

    Cook for 3 minutes until mixture thickens.

    Let cool, then sore in refrigerator.
