  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • 6 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 c. cooked or canned beets, drained and sliced
  • 1/4 c. onion, thinly sliced (optional)

Directions

    Combine mustard, sugar, salt, garlic and cloves.

    Stir in water and vinegar slowly.

    Blend thoroughly and pour over beets and onion.

    Refrigerate overnight.
