  • 1/2 bushel of beets
  • 1 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. garlic

    Cook beets until tender.

    Peel and chop.

    Put beets into mixture and boil a few minutes again.

    Pack in jars and pour mixture over beets.
