- 4 qt. beets
- 3 c. vinegar
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 2 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cook beets until tender.

2Skin and slice.

3Combine rest of ingredients. Bring to a boil and boil 10 minutes.

4Pack beets in sterile jars. Pour boiling syrup to cover.

5Seal.

6Makes about 4 quarts or 8 pints.
