- 2 c. cooked beets
- 1 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. whole cloves
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. whole allspice
Directions

1Drain beets.

2Add the beet juice to the ingredients.

3Boil until sugar dissolves.

4Remove from heat and add the beets.

5I add peeled, hard-boiled eggs after the beets have cooled, making sure eggs are all covered with the liquid.

6Eggs are best if they are made at least a day before you want to serve them.
