- 1 (4 oz.) pkg. codfish, shredded
- 1/2 c. rice vinegar
- 1 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. sugar to taste
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil
- 2 small Maui onions, sliced
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 2 or 3 dashes Tabasco sauce
Directions

1Soak codfish in water for 5 minutes.

2Boil to soften for 5 to 10 minutes, then drain.

3Combine the rice, vinegar, water, sugar and oil, then add codfish to this sauce.

4Add the onions and tomato.

5Chill for 1 hour and serve.
