Ingredients

  • 4 c. cider vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. peppercorns
  • 1 Tbsp. whole allspice
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 2 tsp. whole cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg or mace
  • 12 hard-boiled eggs, shelled

Directions

    Combine first 8 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer gently 10 minutes and strain.

    Pack eggs in hot sterile jars.

    Pour liquid over eggs to cover. Seal jars.
